Ace Power Generation Matara (Pvt) Limited is one of the leading power supply companies in Matara which was established in 2000. The company was owned and managed by Aitken Spence group until 2015. The ownership of Ace Power Generation Matara (Pvt) Limited changed from Aitken Spence to Aust Asia Energy Limited in 2015.

The plant annually transmits 167.3GWh of energy to the National Grid. At present more than 30 plant staff are working at the Matara power plant which consists of operations engineers, mechanical and electrical technicians.
